Compatibility check

The opener model, manufacture information, learn-button or receiver type, and keypad's published compatibility list all matter. A “universal” label does not mean every opener.

The keypad should be accessible, securely mounted, and programmed through the procedure for the exact models. Existing remotes and wall controls are checked afterward.
